A scene that should be scary had people laughing instead, like when that woman opened the medbay door to help out and she slips on the blood, falls down and drops the shotgun and then runs away closing the door on her leg. A man that is bleeding and having an incredibly violent seizure gets a hug because they wanted that shot of this spine buster going through her hand. What the fuck am I watching? These characters are somehow more brain dead than the ones in Prometheus which I didn’t think was possible. It still looks visually stunning so I went to see it. I learn before seeing it they have completely gotten rid of Elizabeth and all the Engineers are dead so nothing that happened in the last movie matters besides David. Then Covenant comes out and the reviews are terrible. Shaw going to their planet to find out why they wanted to destroy Earth could be interesting. But whatever, I can enjoy a dumb sci-fi movie that looks as good as Prometheus does and it has that incredible medpod scene, and Micheal Fassbender is amazing as David, and even if I hated the idea of an advanced alien race that goes to planets creating life by killing themselves I thought what was setup with Dr. I didn’t hate the movie like some but it was not what I expected from a Alien prequel.
I love those first two Alien movies and couldn’t wait for Prometheus knowing Ridley Scott was back and it was going to be expanding on the alien’s backstory.
I haven’t watched anything but 1 and 2 and I enjoyed them but never had any interest in watching any of the other movies so I went with Alien. Never been a big fan of the Terminator series.
